Foundation Star™
My first interpretation of the Star of David was the Star of Love™ in 1972. This was followed by my Moses Star™ in 1974. In order to have all the variations of the Star of David in my collection have a similar look, I made the foundation (the basic star design) with a bark pattern. To me, the usage of bark, with its unusual pattern and the little nodules (especially visible on the two Mezuzahs) which bark has, indicate growth and gives me a feeling of spirituality. I hope you share my sentiments.
